Mac OS X 10.7.3 has performance problems but they can be solved

Last night Apple released Mac OS X 10.7.3, a new version of the operating system for Macs that brings support for the Romanian language. Unfortunately, the new version of Lion brings with it many functionality problems for users, all because of the way the update is installed. Some of those who have updated through Software Update encounter the problems you see in image above, more precisely the applications close by themselves and together with them the internet connection is closed and a restart is the only solution to solve the problem.

The good part is that these problems have a solution, but it involves reapplying the update. To solve the problems you have to:

  1. Download the combo version of Mac OS X 10.7.3 available here.
  2. Run that combo version over the version already installed on your Mac and reset your Mac.

The method presented above solves the performance problems and it would be good to follow it if you encounter them.
