Proview is willing to negotiate with Apple to keep the iPad tablet in stores in China

In China, the Apple company has very big problems with those from Proview who are trying their best to remove the iPad tablet from the stores. Yesterday a court in a province of China decided for the tablet to be taken out of stores and today the people from Proview seem willing to negotiate with Apple keeping the tablet on sale. The decision comes before one court hearings which will take place tomorrow in a court in Shanghai and the result of that hearing could be 100% identical to the rest so far, that is, the iPad tablet could also be removed from the stores around Shanghai.

SHANGHAI: A Chinese firm involved in a trademark row with Apple over the iPad name is preparing for talks with the US technology giant, the Chinese firm's lawyer said Tuesday, raising hopes for a settlement. We are now preparing for negotiations. The court cases will continue until we reach an agreement. Apple has so much cash, they will look at the situation, they will look at how their profits are going to be impacted, and if it looks like it is going to be significant they will just pay and take care of it.

Those from Proview, who are currently in full bankruptcy proceedings, demand from Apple no less than 2 billion dollars as compensation for the period in which the iPad tablet was kept for sale in China. Yesterday Apple accused the CEO of Proview of having done it defamatory statements to the company and threatened to sue him. Apple is now trying to prove that no company can force it to offer money through this kind of process and the chances of an agreement being concluded are minimal at the moment.

Apple will continue to fight in the courts while its tablets will be confiscated by the authorities.
