AnimateDock is a tweak released today in Cydia which, as you can already see in the video clip above, allows us to add various animations for the icons displayed in the iOS dock. The animations are only started when you close an application, so you won't see them active at any time. AnimateDock has a dedicated menu in the iOS Settings application and from there you can change the horizontal/vertical scaling of the animations, the way they are rotated or the way the zoom is done when the animation is active.

With this tweak you will be able to animate the icons of your dock simply launching an application. Any new icon will be added to your home, only a section in Settings to manage the tweak option. From Settings you can set the effect you want:

  • Scale 0.5
  • Scale 0.6
  • Scale 0.7
  • Scale 0.9
  • Scale 1 (Default)
  • Scale 1.05
  • Horizontal rectangle
  • Vertical rectangle
  • Rotate left 180
  • Rotate left 90
  • Rotate right 180
  • Rotate right 90
  • Zoom out and zoom in reversed

The animation duration:

  • 0.75
  • 1
  • 1.5
  • 2
  • 2.5
  • 3
  • 3.5
  • 4
  • 4.5
  • 5

Dock elements:

  • Hide Reflection
  • Hide Label
  • Hide Badges

As you can already see AnimateDock has extremely many animations available for users, it remains for you to choose which ones you want to use. AnimateDock is available for $0.99 in Cydia's ModMyi repo.
