Today the Asus company presented at the Mobile World Congress 2012 its new PadPhone, a product that combines the idea of a smartphone with that of a tablet. Basically, we are talking about an Android smartphone that can be transformed into a tablet by inserting it into a kind of dock equipped with a 10.1-inch screen that takes over the functionality of the phone screen. The smartphone has a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, has a dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, LTE connectivity and of course Ice Cream Sandwich.

The dock itself takes over all the functionality of the smartphone when it is inserted into its slot, but more than that, it also charges it, offering a battery autonomy almost 9 times greater than normal. Moreover, for him there is a stylus that can be used as a headset when you receive calls. The idea of those from Asus is complicated, although in theory it seems to be very good, PadFone being essentially a 2 in 1, i.e. a product dedicated to those who want both a smartphone and a tablet but don't know which one to choose.

The idea of the Asus company is good, but Motorola brought it to the world's attention through the Atrix 4G series, which was not really that popular.
