Nokia is trying to reinvent itself and is doing so by keeping its principles and tradition. Instead of implementing increasingly powerful hardware in its own mobile terminals, the Finnish company chooses to offer all consumers a good phone for certain tasks and the 808 PureView is the phone dedicated to "photographers". The Nokia company has implemented a 41 megapixel camera in this terminal which, according to them, should take extraordinarily good pictures and all using a simple mobile phone.
PureView technology, which completely blows away any prior expectations about the quality of camera phone photography. The technology means that taking typically sized shots (say, 5 megapixels) the camera can use oversampling to combine up to seven pixels into one "pure" pixel, eliminating the visual noise found on other mobile phone cameras. On top of that, you can zoom in up to 3X without losing Any of the details in your shot – and there's no artificially created pixels in your picture, either. Otherwise, you can use 'Creative Shooting Mode' to capture images at high resolution – 38 megapixels; then reframe, crop and zoom to find the best "picture within the picture" after the image has been shot and before saving it at convenient sizes for sharing and storage. The Nokia 808 PureView features a 41-megapixel sensor with our highest performance Carl Zeiss optics to date and Nokia's brand-new pixel oversampling technology.
PureView is the technology that Nokia relies on and theoretically it should be better than any other photo recording software available in mobile terminals of the moment. Nokia explain here everything about PureView, but for an alleged price of £450, I don't know how many fans it will attract. The reality is that.. the terminal has a 5 megapixel camera. On the other hand, the design is more than interesting.
