Smoked by Windows Phone is a contest organized by Microsoft with the idea of promoting its smartphones equipped with its own operating system. At the Mobile World Congress 2012, the company moved the contest from the US to Europe and everything took place under the same conditions, that is, Windows Phone was put in front of other smartphones, both devices having to perform various tasks set by Microsoft. In the image above we have submitted the table with phones that competed with Windows Phone and the results obtained after completing the tasks.
Although two HTCs managed to beat the Windows Phone smartphones in the search tasks, the iPhone 2G came out on par with the Windows Phone in a task regarding, probably, recording pictures and uploading them to social networks. The result is surprising because we are talking about a comparison made between an iPhone presented 5 years ago and a Windows Phone smartphone of the latest generation. Although it is very likely that the person from Microsoft did not rush too much in completing the task, the result is anyway interesting and not too flattering for Microsoft.
