Could Apple lose 100 million dollars a day if it presents the iPad 3 tablet and does not immediately sell it?

Among the bad theories currently circulating on the Internet, I mention today one initiated by those from Cultofmac regarding the iPad 3 tablet and the money that Apple could lose if it does not immediately put the tablet up for sale. They say that Apple could lose 100 million dollars a day if it announces the iPad 3 tablet tomorrow but puts it on sale next week. Their logic says the following: Apple sold 15.43 million iPad 2 tablets in Q4 2011 (98 days), which means approximately 157,450 units every day. At an average price of $664 (calculated based on the prices of all models of the iPad tablet), it appears that every day Apple earned $104,5 million from the sale of iPad tablets alone.

Those from Culotfmac assume that as soon as Apple presents the iPad 3, the whole world will refuse to buy iPad 2 tablets anywhere in the world and Apple will automatically start losing 100 million dollars a day. The idea is more than stupid because things will not stay like this. Yes, Apple will probably lose some money until it introduces the new tablet in stores, but the amount will be MUCH lower because those 100 million dollars represent the receipts from the entire globe. Apple will launch iPad 3 first in the USA, then in several European countries and will expand its availability throughout the world. In countries without iPad 3, iPad 2 will still be available and people will buy it if there is no other alternative.

I think that Apple can lose a maximum of 5-10 million dollars daily, although the figure is high, but if we relate it to the whole world, it could be real.
