Although it was quite obvious that Apple will actually launch the iPad 3/HD tablet in stores starting on March 16, those from 9to5mac cites sources from within the company's distribution chain that confirm this date. On March 16, an event is scheduled in Apple stores in the US and it will most likely be related to the launch of the tablet because none of the others are ready until then. The launch will take place only in the USA at the beginning and one/two weeks later France, Great Britain, Germany and probably Japan will simultaneously launch the new product.
We've been told by an Apple Store source who has been reliable in the past that preparations are being made for a big Apple Store event which will culminate on Friday, March 16th. Naturally, this points to an iPad 3 launch on Friday just nine days after tomorrow's announcement. We've previously noted that an Apple Store in London at the world famous Harrod's will open on that date as well as a new Store in Houston, Texas.
In addition to the information about the iPad 3 launch, 9to5mac has obtained other information about a new Apple event that would take place a week later. Considering that the iPad 3 could already be launched at that time, it is believed that the Apple TV 3G could be the product that would reach Apple stores then. Until now, we have seen rumors that confirmed the presentation of Apple TV 3G at tomorrow's conference, but the product would only be available in stores in two/three weeks.
