iPad – the prices of the new tablet in Europe and a possible price for Romania

  During last evening Apple announced like the iPad tablet is available for pre-order in 10 countries around the world: USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Puerto Rico and that it will be delivered to stores starting on March 16. From March 23, the tablet will be launched in several dozen other countries, Romania being for the first time in the second wave of launches of an iDevice. We know what the prices of the tablet are in the US, but what will the prices of the tablet be in Europe considering that France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany have the tablet available in stores as of last night?

  Well, below we have listed the prices in the Apple stores of these four European countries:

France :

1. iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi Only – €489;
2. iPad 32 GB Wi-Fi Only – €589;
3. iPad 64 GB Wi-Fi only – €694;
4. iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – €609;
5. iPad 32 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – €709;
6. iPad 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – €814.

Germany:

1. iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi Only – €479;
2. iPad 32 GB Wi-Fi Only – €579;
3. iPad 64 GB Wi-Fi only – €679;
4. iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – €599;

Switzerland:

4. iPad 16 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – 659 Swiss francs;
5. iPad 32 GB Wi-Fi + 3G – 759 Swiss francs;

  The cheapest iPad tablet can be found in Switzerland at the price of €428, the difference being quite big compared to Great Britain where the price starts from €477. Of course, Switzerland has always had low prices for Apple products, but I don't know what taxes apply there, because Apple doesn't mention them. As a bonus, the iPad 2 16 GB Wi-Fi Only tablet is also available in stores, which can be purchased at a price 80-83€ lower than that of the new iPad tablet.

  In Romania, the tablet will be available starting on March 23 at Apple product resellers and their partners, and the prices should be the ones you see listed in the images below. Some online stores will bring the tablet before, but the prices will be slightly higher, but at least you will be able to get the tablet before everyone else.
