Romania is becoming an increasingly important country for Apple

In the fall of this year, many people were amazed to see that Apple launched the iPhone 4S in Romania just one month after the official launch in the USA. The device would be officially available at mobile phone operators in Romania starting on November 14, and this was the first signal that warned us that Apple was starting to look at our country with different eyes. The second signal came on Wednesday when Apple announced that on March 23 the iPad tablet will be officially launched in Romania and if you look at the image above you will notice that we are in the select group of countries where Apple brings a product to second wave of launches.

Practically, both Romania and Bulgaria were included in this group, probably thanks to the fact that we are part of the EU, but maybe, in part, thanks to a growing interest in Apple products. iPhone 4S sold very well in Romania, there are no official figures, but unofficially the operators were satisfied with the demand for the device. No matter what the reasons are, thanks to which Romania is now more important for Apple, we have the opportunity to buy a product of the company just two weeks after its official launch in the USA, and this makes me believe that the iPhone 5 will be available just as quickly for us.

Next step? A possible Apple store opened in Bucharest.
