Apple could prepare 5 million televisions for a launch that will take place at the end of this year

Apple Television

Until now, we have heard a whole series of rumors related to the new Apple TV, and today we have a part of a new one. An American analyst claims that within the distribution chain of the Apple company, components for the new television are starting to be transferred. It seems that the product would go into production in May and an initial stock of 5 million units would be available for a launch that could take place at the end of this year. A launch around the winter holidays would give those from Apple the opportunity to sell extremely many units, because during that period Americans' pockets "open up" to almost any type of product.

Evidence of commercial iTV production is starting: we believe specialty components have begun to ship to Apple's Asia panel suppliers with polarized films, filters, and IGZO components starting to move in small quantities. We expect commercial production in May/June with 2M to 5M builds likely. We still expect a CQ4 launch.

Of course, the information provided by the American analyst does not have any coverage at the moment, but they are not really that hard to believe. The new TV would have the Siri personal assistant integrated, it would have a "revolutionary" interface and it would have a really interesting design. If such a product will ever reach our hands, we will probably find out in the following months.
