A company specialized in analyzing statistics on the use of mobile terminals made un special website where it shows the whole world how useful the new Apple tablet is. The website only provides information about the USA for now and there 5% of all tablets that surf the Internet are iPad 3 tablets. Up to now Apple has sold over 55 million iPad tablets worldwide and assuming that about 25 million of them were sold only in the USA, then Apple would have sold at least one million iPad 3 tablets there.
The problem with Chitika's graph is that it is limited only to the US and although it does not show a clear picture of all the tablets used in the whole world, it still gives us the understanding that Apple sold a lot of units only there. If in just two days the iPad 3 is responsible for 5.26% of the traffic made from iPad tablets in the US, then it is clear that the product was a real success there. It has been estimated that Apple would have sold 1 million iPad 3 tablets worldwide on the day of launch alone and this could be true as the number of units sold in the US alone could be higher.
