Is Apple interested in launching a new iPhone with a 4.6-inch screen?

Yesterday I told you that Apple would have already received from its component partners for the future iPhone terminal and would be in the process of testing them. Shortly after the publication of this information, others appeared which I understand that Apple would be interested in using a 4.6-inch screen in the new iPhone terminal that it is going to launch in Q2 2012. Although it was rumored last year that Apple would be interested in implementing at least a 4-inch screen in the iPhone, it is hard to believe that he gave up on that idea and is now testing one with a 4.6 inch screen. At the moment, the iPhone has a 3.5 inch screen and a move to 4.6 inches would be significant but hard to believe considering the way Apple has treated the iPhone over the years.

Apple Inc's new iPhone will have a sharper and bigger 4.6-inch "retina" display and is set to be launched around the second quarter, a South Korean media reported on Thursday. Apple has decided on the bigger 4.6-inch display for its next iPhone and started placing orders to its suppliers, the Maeil Business Newspaper said, quoting an unnamed industry source.

Moving from the screen to availability, Reuters quotes a source from South Korea who says that the terminal will be available in Q2 2012, that is, sometime in the summer. The iPhone 4S was released last fall and it is unlikely that Apple will force the release of a new iPhone model less than a year away, especially since it has not yet presented the new iOS 6. I think that the information provided by the Koreans is inaccurate and I recommend you not to imagine that Apple will launch an iPhone 5 with a larger screen than if the new terminal will be presented before the launch by some Vietnamese site.
