iDevice.ro week in review

Today ends a very interesting week for iDevice owners because Apple has decided to release iOS 5.1.1 via iTunes. The new version of the operating system solves some bugs and functionality problems, but that's not all. Pod2G has already done the untethered jailbreak of the iPad 3 tablet and announced that the solution will be available in the near future for everyone. Dev Team released a new version of redsn0w that allows us to downgrade without iTunes for iPhone 4S and iPad 2/3, plus jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1 for iDevices with A4 chip.

In the end we learned that iOS 6 will bring a very interesting Maps application, that the new operating system could offer more functionality to the Siri assistant and that we could see a new user interface for our iDevices. Considering that WWDC 2012 is fast approaching, we can expect to learn more and more interesting information about iDevices and Macs in the coming weeks.
