iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S III – battery life

Samsung Galaxy S III was recently launched on the market, but it ended up in the hands of the gsmarena who tested its battery autonomy and discovered that it performs more than honorably in front of other high-end smartphones. Practically, the Samsung Galaxy S III can be used for 10 hours and 20 minutes for talking on the phone, for 5 hours and 17 minutes for browsing the web and for 10 hours and one minute for watching videos. The iPhone 4S managed to beat the Samsung Galaxy S III in just one test, the one regarding web browsing, where the difference between the two devices was 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has a 2100 mAh battery, but a 4.8-inch screen and a quad-core processor, so we are talking about high energy consumers, but even so we see it placed in the top of the smartphones with the best autonomy. It was expected that the iPhone 4S with its 1420 mAh battery would not perform so well in these tests and I hope that Apple will pay more attention to the autonomy of the iPhone in the future, otherwise we risk using the devices much less for navigation on the web if the screen sizes will increase. It is interesting, however, that the Samsung Galaxy Note lasted only 3 and a half hours when browsing the web, a sign that those 5.3-inch screens are not really that suitable for those who want to use their smartphones for important things.
