In 2011 in Romania we had over 4 million mobile connections and an average traffic of 220 MB

Today ANCOM submitted some interesting figures regarding the mobile and fixed internet connections registered in Romania in 2011. In the report, those from ANCOM say that 3.11 million mobile connections were reported by 6 data service providers and here I am only talking about mobile connections made from Mobile Phones. To these we add another 1.12 million mobile connections made using USB modems, HotSpots, etc., and we reach an average traffic per user of 220 MB. To be honest, the number of mobile connections seems to me to be high, but the average traffic registered for each user seems to me to be quite small, and this is probably because most of those mobile connections were registered on not very smart phones.

According to the data provided by the 6 internet access service providers at mobile points, the total number of active broadband internet access connections to mobile hotspots reached the value of 4,23 million, increasing by 20% half-yearly and 39% annually. Thus, 3,11 million active mobile broadband connections used via mobile phones and 1,12 million active mobile broadband connections via modems/cards/USB (used to connect laptops to the Internet) were reported phones, tablets or desktops).

...Also, the share of connections with a speed of at least 30 Mbps in the total fixed connections continued to increase, simultaneously with the increasingly intensive use of dedicated equipment for mobile Internet, the average monthly traffic of a mobile Internet user reaching 220 MB.
