Here are the functions of iOS 6 that were "borrowed" from Cydia

You all know that many functions available in the iOS of our iDevices were either initially available through Cydia tweaks, or were taken from applications already available in the App Store. Apple did not shy away to take over the functions that he found interesting, regardless of whether their developers agreed or not, and the new iOS 6 is not much different. In it, Apple implemented the functionality of some tweaks that were available in Cydia for some time, and below you can see them all.

Do Not Disturb

We talked about the DoNotDisturb tweak just a few weeks ago, which allows you to block the display of all iOS notifications, but what Apple is presenting us now is much different. The function offered by the company has more options for users will be available in the fall and I don't think you will want to miss it!

iOS 6 adds new calling features to your iPhone. Now when you decline an incoming call, you can instantly reply with a text message or set a callback reminder. And when things are just too hectic, turn on Do Not Disturb and you won't be bothered by anyone — except can't-miss contacts like your boss or your better half.

Siri for iPad

For months there have been tweaks that allow users to install Siri on iDevices, they were developed by some foreign hackers and not by a Romanian, as suggested by George Buhnici in a show broadcast on Pro TV. Using those tweaks you can install Siri on the iPad without much effort, but unfortunately the assistant will not connect to Apple's servers, but you have to connect it to the servers of some hackers and give up part of your privacy.

With iOS 6, Siri understands more languages, works in more countries, and is available on the new iPad.2 So you can get more things done in more places around the world. Want to know the latest scores and stats for your favorite teams and players?

FaceTime over 3G

In this article, picked up by many important international websites, we told you that iOS 6 could bring us the possibility to use FaceTime via 3G, and we were right. The Apple company allows us through iOS 6 to initiate FaceTime calls using a data connection, something that tweaks such as 3G Unrestrictor or FaceBreak allowed us for more than a year.

FaceTime now works over cellular networks as well as Wi-Fi, so you can make and receive FaceTime calls wherever you happen to be.4 You can even make and receive FaceTime calls on your iPad using your phone number. That means you can use FaceTime wherever you are, on any device. And never miss another wink, smile, air kiss, or eye roll.

Full Screen for Safari

Full Screen for Safari is a tweak available for several months in Cydia and it allows us to use Safari in fullscreen mode both on the iPad tablet and on Apple's iPhone, but the company brings the same functionality directly to iOS. The fullscreen mode only works in landscape mode, so you won't be able to use it at any time.

iOS 6 brings even better web browsing to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iCloud Tabs keeps track of which pages you have open on your devices, so you can start browsing on one device and pick up right where you left off on whatever device is handy. Safari now saves web pages — not just links — in your Reading List, so you can catch up on your reading even when you can't connect to the Internet.6 And when you're posting a photo or video to eBay, Craigslist, or another site, you can take photos and video — or choose from your Camera Roll — without leaving Safari. When you really want to see the whole picture, turn your iPhone or iPod touch to landscape and tap the full-screen icon to view web pages without distractions.

Reply with message

In Cydia, there have been some tweaks for some time that allow us to reject calls and automatically send a message to inform the interlocutor that we are busy, but iOS brings everything directly to the Lockscreen. The innovative part of this system is the fact that it notifies us that we have a missed call when you leave a certain geographical area, a very important aspect.

Safari Upload

We return to Safari because Apple has finally implemented, in iOS 6, a function that allows us to upload pictures on any websites. In Cydia there are of course tweaks that allowed us to do these things, but now you no longer need a jailbreak to do them.

Facebook in iOS

After months of rumors, Apple has finally implemented Facebook in iOS and allows us to use it to share links, photos, update our status, etc. Siri can update statuses on Facebook/Twitter, from the notifications center we can publish messages on the famous social network, everything being already available through various tweaks published over time in Cydia.

I'll end the list of "disclosures" here, I'm sure that if I look through iOS again I'll find a lot of functions that were initially available in Cydia, but I'll leave it to you to discover them yourself.
