iOS 6 – battery life

More than a week has passed since the release iOS 6 for iOS app developers, I have installed it since the day it was available and now I can give you some details about how I was able to use the device between charges. You all know that iOS 5.0 generated the biggest problems with battery autonomy for iDevice owners, many seeing a real improvement only in iOS 5.1/5.1.1. In iOS 6, things do not change much without iOS 5.1.1, even though Apple blocked the option to disable 3G connections in the case of iPhone terminals.

Normally the constant use of an iPhone on a 3G network should generate a low autonomy, but in my case the autonomy was as good as on iOS 5.1.1 and I basically had between 5:30 - 6 hours of use effective. Maybe for some it seems a little, but I don't use the terminal to listen to music 5 hours a day, but I use it in the tasks that consume the most energy: browsing on 3G/Wi-Fi, GPS, games, push notifications and of course the use of various applications. In conditions of intense use, I get up to 6 hours of autonomy and a charge every 1.5-2 days, and this is the maximum you can get from an iPhone that you use for the tasks I mentioned above. If you use the device mainly for calls, you don't have active push notifications and you don't surf the Internet too much, especially via 3G, then the autonomy can be greater, but we are only talking about a minimalist use.

What experience did you have in iOS 6?
