During the night of Monday Microsoft has officially presented the new line of Surface tablets which will be available on the market sometime this year at prices that only Microsoft knows. The company didn't reveal much about the tablets, one got stuck during the presentation conference, but even so they have to be compared with the current line of tablets available on the market, to give you an idea about everything that each one offers you in part. Now I present to you a comparison with Apple's iPad 3 tablet, the best-selling tablet on the market and the product that Microsoft should have in its sights.

What is known but not presented in the comparison has to do with the resolution of the Surface, which will be 1366 x 768, so clearly lower than the one present in the Retina Display of the iPad 3, but otherwise the Microsoft tablet has a more powerful processor, it will have a larger battery that will cover the higher energy consumption and theoretically should offer users a set of similar functions. Although the price is not known, there are chances that Microsoft will sell the Surface tablet with Windows RT at a price that could start at $400-$500, and the tablets with Windows 8 Pro could be available at prices of $800-$1000.
