Apple is going to launch an iPod Nano with touchscreen and Home button plus a design similar to that of the iPhone Mini

Last year it was speculated that Apple would launch an iPhone Mini to compete with Android terminals on the low-end smartphone market, but in the end the iPhone 3GS was kept on sale by the company. This year, the iPhone Mini is no longer discussed, but it seems that Apple would follow to launch an iPod Nano that would have a design similar to that of a small iPhone. In the image above you can see a concept of this iPod Nano, a concept made after a case received by a person who has sources inside the Apple factories.

At this change may bring new iPod nano which will be dedicated to new iTunes service, according to reliable Chinese source said. This source said, the new iPod nano style will be back to oblong style, not square shaped. Case size seems to become smaller in 3 quarters than iPod nano (5th generation), and thickness seems to be thinner than iPod nano (6th generation)'s body without back-clip. Click-wheel interface will not be back, and a hole seems for home-button was on, source said.

The interesting part about this iPod Nano lies in the fact that Apple would implement a touchscreen and a Home button, and this would turn the device into an intermediate product between iPod and iPod Touch. In the end, we learn that the iPod Nano would also have a dedicated iTunes service that would offer special services for users. Of course, all these are just rumors and no one knows for sure if Apple will launch such a device, but the idea itself is very interesting.
