Bucharest, July 16, 2012 - Starting today, users of mobile terminals with Wi-Fi connectivity can promotionally test, for free, the Vodafone experience and the applications specially developed for mobile terminals, through a national network of 80 Wi-Fi zones, located in 26 cities, regardless of the mobile phone network used.
"We want to be permanently close to users and we decided to expand the territorial coverage with Internet access points via Wi-Fi, from the Romanian coast to the most frequented areas in the country, during the summer holidays. Thus, in this stage of Wi-Fi coverage expansion, Vodafone has installed online connection points in Alba Iulia, Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Brasov, Bucharest, Cavnic, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Costinesti, Fagaras, Focsani, Galati , Iasi, Mamaia, Medgidia, Oradea, Ploiesti, Piatra Neamt, Sibiu, Sighisoara, Targu Jiu, Targu Mures, Timisoara, Targoviste and Tunari. In Bucharest, among the areas where Vodafone has installed free Internet access points via Wi-Fi, there are also Plaza Romania and Sala Polivalenta, the Wi-Fi coverage program had, as the first stage, the provision of free Internet access , unlimited, on a series of main parts, from Gura Humorului, Straja, Cavnic (Icoana), Baisoara, Arieseni (Vartop), Predeal and Poiana Brasov.
Then, the development continued in Mamaia, on the beaches in the Casino area - at the foot of the gondola, in front of the Savoy hotel, in the area of the Junona hotel, on Vega beach, inside the Aqua Magic park, in the area of the Neptun hotel, of the Sulina hotel, in front of the hotels Flora and Ovidiu - near the footbridge, in the Melody area and the Camping Nord area. Moreover, free access to the Internet via Wi-Fi is also available in Costinesti, in the Obelisk area, Zece Steaguri, Pizzeria Albert and in front of the Tineretului club.
