iPad Surface – the concept of an iPad 4 tablet with quad-core processor, physical keyboard and 12 megapixel camera

iPad 4 it will most likely be released in the spring of next year, but until then I present you a concept of a tablet that some would like to see produced by Apple. The tablet has a Retina Display, a 12 megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p, a Bang & Olufsen audio system and a physical keyboard similar to that of the MacBook Air. The most interesting component of the tablet is of course the keyboard which would be equipped with a quad-core processor, a hard disk and a 7/8 inch screen, so we are most likely talking about a touch keyboard equipped with customized hardware.

Be honest, did it not cross your mind that what if the iPad was the one with an integrated keyboard and not the Microsoft Surface? Well it did cross designer Luis Fonseca's mind and apparently much before the Surface was revealed. So this is his take on the iPad 4 with all its innovations. He predicts a built-in keyboard, Bang & Olufsen speakers, 12-megapixel-1080p camera, and an aluminum frame. His idea is to design a complete laptop replacement and not just a tablet overhaul. The keyboard slides out from the bottom and it comes with a portable hard disk, quad core CPU and a 7 to 8 inch display. As far as concepts go, this one is quite good for the iPad, but you never know with the design team, Jony Ive and Job's spirit guidance. This may as well not be the direction that Apple takes!

Of course, Apple will never produce something like this, but the concept itself deserves praise.
