Apple buys a very important new multitouch patent

Apple owns several very important multitouch patents that, in general, describe the way users interact with almost any kind of mobile terminal, and in the portfolio, and so impressed, the company added another new one. The patent was acquired from Timothy R. Pryor and represents the continuation of another registered 17 years ago. This patent describes the way in which users interact with touch screens, the way in which objects are moved on the screens, the way of recording two simultaneous touches, the force feedback, plus many others.

The patent is not only limited to mobile terminals, it describes functions that can be found in a multitude of devices, functions that are practically the basis of the multitouch systems we use today. There is no information about the amount of money paid by Apple to buy these patents, but we can expect them to be used in future or even current legal battles of the company.
