Apple will participate in the Black Hat 2012 conference, will discuss iOS security

For the first time in its history Apple will participate at a conference Black Hat to discuss the security of an operating system developed by her. The Black Hat conferences have been organized for 15 years in the USA, but only this year Apple agreed to participate and will hold a conference related to iOS security. Dallas De Atley, manager of the department that deals with the security of Apple's operating systems, will speak at a Black Hat conference about the key components of the iOS security system.

While many major technology vendors have overcome their reluctance to make a public showing at the conference, Apple, now the world's most valuable company, has had no problem snubbing a community whose aim is to unearth its vulnerabilities. That will change Thursday when Dallas De Atley, manager of Apple's platform security team, is scheduled to give a presentation on key security technologies within iOS, the operating system for iPhones and iPads.

Apple employees have attended Black Hat conferences in the past, but only now will the company officially hold a presentation and it will be interesting to see what will be presented there. In recent years, Apple has fought hard with the developers of jailbreak solutions for iOS and their presence at a conference dedicated to hackers shows the interest the company has in this phenomenon and in the best possible security of its platform.
