Apple doesn't do market research before launching its products, it doesn't care about what users want

I don't know if we still needed to hear this or not, but Phil Schiller, the vice president who heads Apple's marketing division, reminds us about the fact that Apple does not do market research before launching its products and practically does not care about what we, the users, want. The information comes from the testimony given by Phill Schiller in a trial between Apple and Samsung and they are not nearly as new as we thought. Apple says that it does not conduct market studies to find out everything that users want in future iDevices, the company stating that these studies have no role in product development.

We don't use any customer surveys, focus groups, or typical things of that nature. That plays no role in the creation of the products.

Although the strategy seems to be, at first glance, wrong, in reality Apple has no problems in selling its products, so its tactics are not as bad as some want to make it out to be. It is true that iDevices need many functions that users want, but Apple does not seem to be willing to listen to our complaints.

  1. Not even Mercedes or BMW ask us what we want, I think it's something normal as long as there are products that come with new hardware and software from year to year

  2. Well, yes... they think it's better as they want, but now that the competition is in full swing, I don't think they will do what they want 😉 they will also look at our advice, for example: 4 inch screen which I think will be greater than 4

  3. He doesn't do market studies, because he follows Steve's principle: "people don't know what they want until I show them".

  4. well, you buy them because you consider them "cool", I'm not against those from Apple and on the contrary I appreciate them for daring to do something new and they still do it to some extent. respect

  5. I don't think they don't do market studies, they just don't do them as aggressively as other companies in the field, simply Apple products are trendsetters in electronics...
