iPhone 5 – the first screens will be delivered by Sharp this month

It was rumored that the production process of the new one would have started last month iPhone 5, but the CEO of Sharp confirm unofficially that only this month the first screens for this device will be delivered. Takashi Okuda, the new president of Sharp, only stated that deliveries of these screens will begin this month, without making any reference to the possible technology based on which they will be produced. It was rumored that the iPhone 5 could have an IGZO screen, but in the end it seems that the technology in-cell is the one that Apple would have chosen to produce this device.

"Shipments will start in August," Sharp's new president, Takashi Okuda, said at a press briefing in Tokyo on Thursday after the company released its latest quarterly earnings. He declined to give a more specific date for shipments beyond this month.

We know almost 100% sure that Apple will present the iPhone 5 on September 12 during a conference that will take place in the USA, and on September 21 we should see the terminal launched in the stores of several countries around the world. For now, too many certain things are not known about the device, but if the production will start in August, then the launch in September seems to be quite certain.
