iPad Mini, the tablet that Apple would present in the near future, would already be in the production process, those from Pegatron following to assemble 50-60% of the number of units that are going to reach the market. The news is bad for those from Foxconn who until now were the first choice of the company from Cupertino and it will be interesting to find out what was the basis of this decision. Even if Foxconn will not produce many iPad Mini tablets, the company produces enough terminals iPhone 5 which have already left the Asian factories and are heading towards customers.
Although some are trying to suggest the idea that Apple intends to give up Foxconn, this seems unlikely considering that the relations between the two companies are very close and Foxconn gives Apple very good prices for production.
