UPDATE: ATTENTION! iOS 6 could consume data traffic even when you are connected to Wi-Fi networks!

This morning I noticed that an update for iPhones using Verizon was released, that update correcting a very important problem that forced iPhones to use data networks even when they were connected to Wi-Fi networks. I thought that the problem was only related to Verizon, but it seems that it is the same thing happens at AT&T, and I think I was affected to the same extent. Normally, I consume around 1-1.5 GB of data per month, but in the last 4 days I consumed 1.2 GB of Internet traffic, even though most of the time I used Wi-Fi networks.

I wouldn't want to say for sure that the problem is from here or from the speed tests done with iPhone 5, but the traffic consumed seems to me to be extremely high, for my average, and seeing the problem in the US, I tend to think that it has something to do with it. Although no one has said anything so far, I think everything has to do with the function Wi-Fi plus Cellular withdrawn by Apple from iOS 6, that function forcing the iPhone to connect to a data network when the Wi-Fi network is not working properly. I don't know for sure if my problem comes from here, but I warn you to be extremely careful with the traffic you consume and to tell me if you have noticed that you have consumed an unusually high amount of traffic in the last few days.

In the US, Verizon cancels the bills of those who exceeded the traffic limit due to the problem generated by iOS 6, AT&T will probably do the same.

UPDATE: At first glance, it seems that many of you have noticed that the traffic made after installing iOS 6 is unusually high, so be very careful how you use your iDevices because exceeding the monthly traffic can generate substantial additional costs.
