COSMOTE Romania expands its 3G coverage, offers download speeds of up to 43,2 Mbps

  More than a year away from the rest of the local operators, Cosmote announced today that it offers download speeds of up to 43.2 Mbps in Romania in its own network. Since the beginning of its commercial activities, COSMOTE Romania has undertaken an ambitious network expansion plan, as well as a customer-oriented commercial strategy, with the aim of providing quality mobile telecommunications services to all Romanians. The company continued to invest in network development, and now offers advanced technology services with higher download speeds of up to 43,2 Mbps, as well as more extensive 3G coverage in more areas of the country.

Currently, COSMOTE Romania offers download speeds of up to 43,2 Mbps for mobile Internet in 74 important cities in the country, representing 41% of the population. Moreover, customers can enjoy speeds of up to 21,6 Mbps in HSPA+ technology, in 147 cities in the country. In total, 3G services currently cover over 68% of Romania's population.

In order to connect all people in Romania through quality mobile communications, COSMOTE Romania will continue to develop the broadband network that offers speeds of up to 43,2 Mbps.
