Apple licenses the iOS watch interface from the Swiss railway authority

A few weeks ago we told you that the Swiss federal railway authority licensed the clock format that we see in iOS years ago, and those from Apple were officially accused of infringing that patent. At that time it was not known how Apple would act, but today the railway authority announced official that he reached an agreement with the American company regarding the licensing of that interface. The amount for which the interface was licensed was not revealed by the Swiss, but we are probably not talking about a lot of money, even if hundreds of millions of iDevices display it every day.

The Swiss Federal Railways SBB and Apple have reached an agreement on the use of the SBB station clock on devices like iPad and iPhone. That the two parties have governed in a license agreement. For the use of the SBB station clock on devices like iPad and iPhone, the Swiss Federal Railways SBB and Apple have agreed and signed a license agreement. The parties have agreed to give the amount of the license fee as well as other details about the Convention any further information.

When Apple implemented this interface in iOS, few people questioned the fact that it would be copied after something specific, but when the news was brought to the general public, those from Apple hurried to quietly solve the problem. The right to use that format is also licensed to a watch manufacturer, but Apple most likely has a separate license.
