Tim Cook says that the weak sales of the iPad are due to the rumors of the last months

In the conference for the presentation of the financial results for Q4 2012, Tim Cook said that the rumors published in recent months have contributed to the decrease in sales of iPad tablets. Although many analysts expected Apple to sell at least 18 million iPad tablets in this last fiscal quarter, the company announced that it sold only 14 million units, and Tim Cook says that the rumors published in August and September motivated users not to buy tablets while waiting for better ones.

In addition to all of that, it's clear that customers delay purchases of tablets due to new product rumors, and these intensified in August and September.

In Q3 2012 Tim Cook said that the weak sales of iPhones are the cause of the same rumors, then he was right, and probably now he is just as much right, many people are waiting for the launch iPad Mini. Of course, this drop in sales is also due to the launch of the Google Nexus 7, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD or the Microsoft Surface, but no one knows how much these products have affected the purchase intention of potential Apple customers.
