Scott Forstall becomes a special adviser to Tim Cook

Scott Forstall lost his role as SVP of the iOS division the other day Apple, and now he has become a special advisor to CEO Tim Cook. The information comes from the data sent by Apple to the SEC, the company having to explain all the changes it makes within its management structure. The position now held by Forstall is temporary, he would lose his job next year, unless another lower position is found for him within the company.

"Item 9B. Other Information

Effective October 29, 2012, Scott Forstall, the Company's Senior Vice President of Mobile Software, has transitioned from that position into a new role as Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer."

Forstall's departure is seen "with good eyes" by most American analysts and not only, everyone expecting great things from the designer Jony Ive who will supervise the development of the iOS interface.
