In the good and well-known tradition of patenting everything that moves, Apple submitted in Europe at the patent and trademark office a request by which he wants to protect the leaf of his logo. Apple's lawyers filed the request a month ago and it aims to register only the leaf of the Apple logo, the bitten apple probably being part of another request. Apple says that the leaf can be used for a very wide range of products, it is not limited to smartphones, tablets, computers, so in the event of a registration, many people could be sued.
Protecting the leaf through a patent is strange enough, but Apple has done other, much stranger things in its history.
