Yesterday the patent and trademark office published the registration of several invention patents belonging to the Apple company, Steve Jobs and Jony Ive being credited for their development. iPhone 4, iPad 2, the Smart Cover, the Bumper and the new Magsafe connector of Macs are the products protected by these patents, and the former CEO and the current SVP are credited for their development. Both iPhone 4 and iPad 2 had very good sales, the iPhone 4 design being considered the best ever designed for an iPhone terminal.
Although Steve Jobs was mainly busy managing Apple, he apparently found time to contribute to the development of the design of these products, but I don't think he thought them from the ground up. Probably the collaboration with Ive got his name on those patents and not the actual work done on drawing and retouching them, but that matters less.
