Jailbreak iOS 6.1, 6.0.2, 6.0.1, 6.0 and iPhone, iPad, iPod Touches that will be compatible

  Yesterday I told you that iOS 6.1GM for iPhone, iPad si iPod Touch it will be released next week for application developers. Apple is checking this build of iOS 6.1 and is preparing for the official launch of the operating system, this event could take place until the end of this month. If Apple will release iOS 6.1 in January, then we can expect that the solution of untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1, to be available only one/two weeks away, depending on the complexity of the changes made.

Jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch - compatibility

  If you are wondering which terminals will be compatible with this jailbreak solution, well below you have them all listed. Even if theoretically you will be able to do it jailbreak on any running device iOS 6.1, unfortunately nothing assures us that the jailbreak solution will be compatible with everything from the very beginning, last year the hackers initially released a jailbreak compatible with iDevices with A4 chip, only then making it compatible with terminals that have chip A5. Something similar could happen this year, although we are talking about 3 chip models.

  Having said that, the following should be compatible with the new jailbreak solution:

  • iPhone 3GS;
  • iPhone 4;
  • iPhone 4S;
  • iPhone 5 – model A1428 AT&T;
  • iPhone 5 – model A1429 GSM/CDMA sold in Europe and Romania;
  • iPad 2 Wi-Fi;
  • iPad 2 GSM;
  • iPad 2 2012;
  • iPad 3 Wi-Fi;
  • iPad 3 GSM;
  • iPad 4 Wi-Fi;
  • iPad 4 GSM;
  • iPad Mini Wi-Fi;
  • iPad Mini GSM;
  • iPod Touch 4G;
  • iPod Touch 5G.

Jailbreak and compatible iOS 6 versions

  Although normally people expect that all versions of iOS 6 can be jailbroken with the future jailbreak solution, I for one bet on the fact that only iOS 6.1 it will be able to be jailbroken. It is extremely difficult to make a jailbreak solution compatible with multiple versions of iOS and hackers could choose to offer users the possibility to jailbreak only the latest version of iOS, which is, in essence, a simple and good thing. This strategy was applied last year, I don't see why it couldn't be applied even now, especially since the development of jailbreak solutions has become more and more difficult.

  In the end I leave Apple TV 3 about which I will only tell you this, do not expect a jailbreak solution for it to come too soon because its development is complicated and the product is not of much interest to hackers.

  Having said that, the release of iOS 6.1 is approaching, and with it the release of the untethered jailbreak solution is also approaching.
