Nvidia Tegra 4 vs Apple A6X vs Samsung Exynos 5 Octa and a little disappointment

La CES 2013, Nvidia Tegra 4 was officially presented, and immediately after it I also saw Samsung Exynos 5 Octa, two extremely interesting chips that will end up in smartphones and tablets in 2013 and maybe 2014. Those from Anandtech they analized the two faces together with A6X- from the iPad 4, and in the table above they compared them. Although we are not talking about the power of the processor, in the graphics part we have a surprise, pleasant for Apple, unpleasant for the competition.

Nvidia Tegra 4 is only slightly more powerful than the graphics processor in the A6X chip (launched last fall), and the graphics processor in Samsung Exynos 5 Octa it is clearly inferior to both, being a generation older than the one in the A6X. There is a possibility that Samsung will use a newer graphics chip and the results would change, its power being able to match that offered by Apple and Nvidia. All these figures are theoretical, because Nvidia and Samsung have not provided detailed specifications of the processors, but if they remain valid in mobile terminals, then on the graphics side, Apple will easily surpass the Nvidia Tegra 4 with an A7 chip.

The difference between A6X and Tegra 4 is so small that Apple would not even need a new graphics processor, but those from Cupertino will implement it, most likely with the idea of maintaining its superiority.
