Apple was sued by hundreds of Japanese people angry about the geolocation system in iOS

Last year a group of 29 Japanese sued Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), upset that iOS- monitors their locations and activates functions based on the locations they visit. Their lawsuit involved almost $800 in damages for each person, but he was withdrawn, the whole group joining another lawsuit in which more than 27.000 Japanese people are suing Apple based on the same reason, and the damages could amount to almost 25 million dollars.

Last year a Japanese lawyer won a lawsuit filed against Apple and received $1000 based on the way iOS monitors locations and activates functions based on them, and this victory generated other lawsuits. The lawyer won the case based on a provision of the constitution that says that everyone has a right to privacy, and iOS burdens them with this right, which the courts agreed and Apple could lose another 25 million dollars for the way it treated its users.
