The Samsung Galaxy S IV would have a screen with more pixels per inch than the Retina Display in the iPhone 5

Implementing a Retina Display in iPhones, Apple has set a new standard for mobile terminals, a standard that Samsung has not yet reached with its Galaxy series of terminals. This would change, however, because in Samsung Galaxy S IV Korean company inted to implement a new type of display on which resolutions up to 441 pixels per inch can be displayed, with 115 more pixels per inch than in the case of iPhone terminals.

Although this aspect was too little important, considering that the Galaxy have very good screens, it seems that Samsung wants to have better terminals from all points of view. I don't know how much the number of pixels on the screens will matter to users since they can't distinguish them from 330 and up, but from a marketing point of view we are talking about something extremely important.

  1. At the moment xperia z is expected to be the best :)…. Because it differs from Samaung Sony, it offers different quality, different finishes.

  2. There is already htc droid dna from Verizon, 5″ 1080p (full hd)! While our iPhone hasn't reached 720p(hd) yet! They would have made the retina first, but the retina still remained. If Jobs S. hadn't left us, I think we wouldn't have gotten a longer iPhone 4!

  3. this is the only standard that a Galaxy S3 did not reach, but let's not forget that the iPhone 5 did not reach several standards of the S3, starting from the 4,8 inch screen and ending with the processor which is twice and...weaker, plus NFC, plus……….I'll leave it to you to find out, of course many will comment on what I said here, but I'll leave it up to you to reflect and then give it to me. Thank you

  4. The bigger screen is not a plus. It's just a bigger screen, that's all. The processor in the S3 is inferior to the one in the iPhone 5, it has been known since it appeared. The only advantage of the S3 in terms of hardware is the battery. Oh, and let's not forget it's cheaper (the main reason to buy).

  5. I have an S3 button today. IT'S DUST. I mean the speed. It has that lag that you can't find in ios, I won't say that I opened Subway surfers (it took longer than on the iphone), and the game wasn't smooth, wait a little. Appearance is also powder. I kept struggling to touch the top corners of the phone with the shelves, I managed with difficulty. Samsung remains Samsung.

  6. Another who praises Samsung for 4,8 inches, go dad with your pingpong standard, let us "struggle" with 4 inches, alas our mother how difficult it is for us.
    No, thanks !

  7. Pity those with ping-pong! If tomorrow Apple releases a 4.8 inch phone, everyone will change the boat and praise it. The myth that 3.5 is perfect has gone down. The market demands something else and unfortunately (or fortunately), Samsung adapts much better and faster. I am convinced that without a revolution and not an evolution, Apple will lose supremacy

  8. If a more powerful display is possible, why not? Imagine how a Full HD movie would look on such a display. Technology evolves. And not only the resolution will be better, but also the contrast, brightness, etc. If the innovation exists, it must be used by someone.

  9. I didn't believe it, but the iPhone 5 has a much better screen than the gs3, even if it has an HD screen, I have a gs3 and I have a friend with an iphone 5 and I admit that the colors on the iphone 5 are much clearer and brighter and on the gs3 the colors are more washed out so sometimes I don't know why, I didn't think so, but you were right about the screen 😛

  10. MMVVDD, I pass the quote of the day for me, "iPhone 5 did not reach several standards of the S3, starting with the 4,8-inch screen"! Then you tell us where or who defined a standard of 4.8', right?! 😀

  11. Marcel, a blizzard is forecast for Friday, with S3 in your ear you are protected! 😀 As for the clip, it depends on how well you see, I have some friends who bought Galaxy Tab, they are a bit short-sighted, or at least that was the excuse 😉

  12. I had the iPhone 4s by mistake for about 3 months, I also had the iPhone 4 for a year and a half and I know how it is with grapes……., I wouldn't really speak for you, I also have a lot of applications and music bought from iTunes and yet I gave up on Apple. it doesn't mean you have to give up too, but the truth is that there are two eras in Apple, before Steve Jobs and after Steve Jobs, and too many lawsuits seriously damage your health.

  13. and for those with lag in Android, think a little more and press the phone harder, because I don't think that iOS has no lag. Many times iOS also had the phase bug when I unlocked the screen and it didn't light up at all or when I started the phone book and it didn't work well with the iPhone 4 s. And come tell me about the iPhone 4s. Cadesign is concrete, but it doesn't really have anything else. And that's all I'm done with, I don't have anything to talk about with some of you here because you're kind of locked up like the iOS.

  14. I, in the place of many of you, would not have the guts to comment on ping pong paddles and others... The iPhone was a revolution only when it appeared, but it has long since been surpassed and it is a weak phone in many respects view that I wouldn't want even for free. And unfortunately "just works" is totally false and I say this from experience.

  15. Isn't it somehow possible to make this forum accessible only by iPhone so that I don't hear everyone giving their opinion? I have an iPhone 4s at the moment and I am quite satisfied with the screen size, but I think that the screen size of a smartphone should not be larger than 4,3 inches because it is more difficult to handle with one hand. For me, Samsung is not a smartphone brand because the plastics are not comparable to IPhone Htc Nokia or blackbe

  16. @dan you're right what I never liked about Android phones is the lack of life of colors they are some washed out colors for nothing put that moving wallpaper on sgs3 or on sony xperia, look at the colors in WM8 or iOS

  17. Hello! I also had an iPhone for more than two years, I have an iPad, airports, and other Apple accessories. I'm a fan anyway. but I gave up on the iPhone and I won't be back any time soon, even though it was the most reliable gadget ever! what Samsung phones like the Note 2 offer is infinitely more than what you will be able to do in 5 years with an iPhone. what can we prolong it, the iPhone is more for girls, for girls.

  18. God, I love these discussions, it amuses me... Oh, and by the way, don't bother picking up that S3 anymore, it's good and the magic of these... I played on an S3 asphalt 7 and it was as if the car was restarting. Have a nice evening

  19. I'm an Apple fan, but I don't know how Apple can wash our minds in this mess, so that we buy every year a terminal with a six-year-old operating system, of course with small additions. The only killer features on the phone since when it was launched from 2007 onwards, such as retina display and Siri, otherwise everything is marleting hard

  20. Brothers, as a former i4 user, currently Note2, Android is not what it was a few years ago. I'm not criticizing Apple, Apple products are used in my family, but Samsung is at the top.
It's time for Apple to release something revolutionary.

  21. I've also had a phone with iOS and Android, the problem is for nothing, does it have a s3 quad core, can it also have an i7 if the iphone is faster, so why are we talking here for the sake of having processors and rams on the phone or to move well? and with custom rom on android and with oc made, it's still not like stable and fast ios perfectly optimized to run fast even on the weak components that iphones have.

  22. Tell me what benefits you get from these arguments (valid for both camps). Choose what you want and stop commenting for nothing! That's why it's democracy, everyone does what they like, and chooses to use what products they like!

  23. @Victor Preda: Good point 😉
@Oprea And..: Ignorance has caught on?! Maybe you are from Sighet and give your opinion. Google helps you!
Regarding the big screens and doing everything with one hand, I ask you: WHY only with one hand?! Because we are busy or lazy? Or just because SB said it at some point?! It was an opinion that proved to be practical at the time. It was actually a Marketing Clue. Everything evolves: We want more comfortable cars - implicitly bigger, we want large-diag TV just to have a more comfortable experience, why wouldn't we also want bigger screens for the phone?! What percentage of the time do we use the phone to talk to it and how much to surf the net, sms, mail, TV, etc. - functions for which the large screen with good f quality is useful and comfortable? So? I think that the time of the Pip Show has passed, it's time to enjoy something else than what SJ "said" 7 years ago. If this site (iDevice) will remain active in 2 years, I guarantee that you will read the comments from now with a smile in the corner of your mouth. All of you will/we will have Apple phones with a much larger diagonal than now. And you know what? That will be "the best iPhone ever made" 😉

  24. Well said Reax, "that will be the best iPhone ever made". After I read for 5 minutes on the tablet and then I want to send an SMS from my iPhone, I have the impression that I'm looking through the keyhole =)) I say that. It's time for Apple to come up (again) with something revolutionary, otherwise their shares on the stock market will be as much as grandma's pension coupon.
