Technology lightning implemented by Apple in its iDevices surprised a lot of people, mainly because of the components found in cables or adapters, but also because of the high level of security of these accessories. The process of amazement continues now, because inside the Lightning AV adapter, Apple included a mini computer based on an ARM processor, 256 MB RAM and which, in theory, works as an AirPlay receiver, the ARM processor decoding the video stream, to display video content on televisions.
This adapter cannot display 1080p video on TVs, only 1600x900 resolution, but to do so it would generate a mini AirPlay network inside itself, the processor decoding the video stream and sending it via cable to a monitor . The decision of those from Apple to implement such a system in the adapter is interesting and it denotes the fact that in the future it could force users to give up cables in favor of AirPlay.
