The first Ubuntu tablet is available for pre-order

Intermatrix U7 is probably the first Ubuntu tablet that would hit the market in October this year, an Australian website offering a for pre-order starting now. I will tell you from the beginning that everything could be a simple hoax, but the product looks interesting and for now there are only a few traces of doubt regarding the veracity of its existence. The tablet is going to run Ubuntu OS for tablets, it will have a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, Vivante GC1000+ quad-core graphics chip, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB storage space, 7-inch screen and two cameras.

All the specifications above are listed as subject to change, so in a few months they could look completely different, but probably the rest of the Ubuntu tablets will have similar hardware. To be honest, tablets with such hardware and Ubuntu OS could be successful on the market, it all depends on how they are promoted.
