Bono says that the talented people who work at Apple don't just do it for the money

Bond is one of the company's favorite artists Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, he performed several times in events organized by those from Cupertino and had the opportunity to talk with quite a few employees of the American company. Yesterday I told you that Jony Ive was named in the list of the most influential people in the world, and the description given to Apple's SVP in TIME belongs to him Bond. Among the beautiful words addressed to Ive, Bono also included an interesting statement, according to which people as talented as those employed by Apple do not work only for money.

Jony Ive is himself classic Apple. Brushed steel, polished glass hardware, complicated software honed to simplicity. His genius is not just his ability to see what others cannot but also how he applies it. To watch him with his workmates in the holy of holies, Apple's design lab, or on a night out is to observe a very rare esprit de corps. They love their boss, and he loves them. What the competitors don't seem to understand is that you cannot get people this smart to work this hard just for money.

Although in a country like Romania this seems hard to believe, the truth is that in the USA there are many people who work just because they like it and not necessarily for the money they earn. Apple has an intelligent system that groups talented employees into small teams that develop products that eventually reach the market, employees make important decisions, feel important, feel that they are working on something important and do it for fun. Of course, the reasoning behind the statement is not only that, but in general people feel good and work for pleasure when they have good reasons to do it, reasons separate from the financial ones, and being employed in a company like Apple is for many an achievement, a satisfaction and a pleasure.
