Bill Gates claims that Steve Jobs was more talented than him in terms of design and more (Video)

Bill Gates, one of the founders of Microsoft, spoke in the framework an interview for the show 60 Minutes about many aspects of his life, including about Steve Jobs, one of his close friends. The two had a tumultuous relationship because of the companies they ran, but that didn't stop them from regularly complimenting and helping each other, Gates saving Apple from bankruptcy in the 90s. Remembering Jobs, Gates said in the interview that the former CEO of Apple had a keen sense of aesthetics, knew how to choose the right design for products and knew how to build and maintain a brand, although he did not have much informational baggage behind in this field.

His sense of design, that everything had to fit a certain aesthetic. The fact that he, with as little engineering background as he had, shows that design can lead you in a good direction. And so phenomenal products came out of it. He knew about the brand — in a very positive sense. He had an intuitive sense for marketing that was amazing.

Gates also spoke about the last months of Jobs' life, a period when the former Apple CEO knew what he was heading for, but preferred to work to leave a rich legacy for the Apple company. Gates spoke well of Jobs at every opportunity, the two of them had enough problems over time, but the friendship relationship was more important than anything else in the end.
