Broadcom BCM94360CD could bring gigabit Wi-Fi to future Macs

Broadcom BCM94360CD is the name of a PIC-E chip developed by the Broadcom company, it is compatible with the 802.11ac standard and could bring "Gigabit Wi-Fi" to future Macs. Chip was photographed by a person from China and is approximately as big as the chip implemented in current Macs, and if we add this information from the one from the previous months that told us that Apple is testing the 802.11ac standard in OS X 10.8.4, then its use is clear.

Considering that this chip is about as big as the one in current Macs, there is a possibility that users can upgrade the chip without buying a new Mac, but we will find out more in the coming months. At the moment, the 802.11ac standard is considered to be the future in terms of Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing connection to HotSpots that allow data transfer at gigabit speeds.
