The new MacBooks could have 50% more autonomy thanks to Intel Haswell processors

Intel Haswell is the name of the processors on which Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is going to implement them in the next generation of MacBook-s to be launched in the following months, and according to Intel they could increase with up to 50% battery autonomy. The comparison is made with the current line Ivy Bridge and the significant improvement of the battery autonomy will not affect the performance of the laptops, given that the processors would consume only 7W in certain stages of operation.

Improving the battery autonomy of laptops and mobile terminals is one of the important objectives that many manufacturers have in mind, and Intel claims that it can offer the public exactly everything that is required. If the autonomy of MacBooks will increase by up to 50%, or Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will implement other hardware that consumes the additional energy remains to be seen, but for now the future "sounds good".
