Foxconn intends to produce accessories for Apple iDevices

Foxconn is the main partner of the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and in the face of the reduction in sales for iDevices, the Taiwanese are determined to enter the market of accessories for iDevices and more. The ones from the WSJ claim that the high rate of profit for such products would have convinced those from Foxconn to make the decision to develop accessories for mobile terminals, for their iDevices, following the certification of those from Apple, just as it happens in the case of any company with similar intentions.

Hon Hai is also reviewing plans to make accessories such as data transmission cables, headphones and keyboards under the Foxconn brand, said executives who have direct knowledge of the plan. "Chairman (Terry Gou) has ordered all business units to produce peripheral accessories of electronics products as it is more profitable than assembly services. We also plan to license Apple's technology to make some own-brand accessories that are compatible with iPhones and iPads," said one of the executives.

Those from Foxconn intend to produce almost any kind of accessories for mobile terminals and in the not too distant future we will see many products with the company's brand on the market. It was quite normal for a manufacturer like Foxconn to enter this market because it assembles many types of mobile terminals, and the manufacture of accessories was logically the next step to be taken.
