The iPhone 5S could have a Retina Display with Full HD resolution and thin edges

A new rumor that appeared today on Chinese websites suggests that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), would intend to double the number of pixels on the screen iPhone 5S and that the device would have much thinner edges, just like iPad Mini. According to the rumor, the Retina Display of iPhone 5S would have almost 2 times more pixels than the Retina Display iPhone 5, more precisely the rumor says that from 730.000 pixels there will be a transition to approximately 1.5 million pixels.

The screen will remain at a diagonal of 4 inches, but apart from the double number of pixels, it would be located a little closer to the case, Apple taking over the change from iPad Mini. In iPad 5 we will see thinner edges, and in iPhone 5S it seems that we will have exactly the same thing, if we are to believe the rumor. If Apple doubles the number of pixels, then the resolution will probably be doubled, or at least increased, the terminal being able to have a maximum resolution of 2272 x 1280 pixels (1136 x 640 pixels x2), exactly double the current one.

Considering that most Android smartphones have either HD or Full HD resolution, it would not be unusual for Apple to eventually double the resolution of its iPhone, but this is the first time we hear about such a radical change.
