Apple uses smart filters for the iOS 7 Camera and Photos applications

In iOS 7 Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), implemented filters in the Camera and Photos applications, those in the Camera application practically representing a port of the Photobooth application on iPhone terminals and not only. Apart from them, there are also a series of filters in the Photos application, them allowing us to modify the pictures at will, but only within the limits imposed by Apple. The interesting part is that the filters of the Camera application are lossless and allow us to return to the picture in normal format after recording it with an applied filter. This can be done using the filters available in the Photos application and choosing the None option, the picture being transformed into the version that would have been recorded without a filter.

What Apple offers is extremely interesting because the application of filters does not affect the quality of the picture and if in the end we are not satisfied with the filter we can modify or remove it without editing the picture again and destroying its quality. Few applications in the App Store work in a similar way and for the use of this technology it is extremely good, but it remains to be seen how much it will be appreciated.
