For the first time in the last 4 years, Apple is not bragging

Starting with the iPhone 3GS, Apple made a habit of boasting about the number of iPhones pre-ordered by users the weekend before the opening of the pre-order session. The year 2013 marks a change in the strategy of those from Cupertino, the American company preferring to keep silent about the number of units that its customers from the 10 countries, in which it is available iPhone 5C for the pre-order, they reserved them. Although last year Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announces that it has pre-ordered 2 million terminals iPhone 5 after only 3 days, and sold 5 million in the first weekend of release, this year things are different.

Keeping silent about the number of pre-orders, Apple scared investors, the value of its shares falling by more than 3 percent during yesterday's trading day. For many, Apple's silence is surprising and since the company does not brag, there are reasons to believe that it would not have anything to brag about, more precisely it would not have recorded more pre-orders this year than last year. It was estimated that approximately 1 million terminals iPhone 5C would have been pre-ordered by customers last weekend and although the figure is impressive, it represents only half of what was obtained last year.

Despite the small assumptions, it should be noted that Apple is going to launch two terminals this year, and in the end the number of units sold could be much higher than the current estimates, so we just have to see how things will evolve.
