Thomson Reuters includes Apple in the list of the most innovative companies of 2013

  In the last 3 years, the people from Thomson Reuters have done a top of the most innovative companies on the globe, 100 financial entities being verified and included in this exclusive list of companies that deserve investors' attention. For the third consecutive time, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is part of the Thomson Reuters list, being included in the top thanks to the products it managed to launch during the year, but also to the technologies implemented in its operating systems.

The 100 organizations in the 2013 study outperformed the S&P 500 for the third consecutive year, by 4 percent in annual stock price growth and 2 percent in market cap weighted revenue growth. Collectively they generated $4.5 trillion in revenue, nearly twice the GDP of the United Kingdom. The Top Innovators also added 266,152 new jobs over the last year, a rate that was 0.81 percent higher than the new job creation rate among constituents of the S&P 500. This year's winners also outspent the S&P 500 by 8.8 percent on R&D; collectively they invested $223 billion in their research and development efforts.

  All the 100 companies included in the top had total revenues of 4500 billion dollars and generated no less than 266.152 jobs, 223 billion dollars being invested in research and development projects. The list includes a varied range of companies from the USA and Europe, most of them being involved in the development of mobile terminals or telecommunications equipment, this being one of the most popular and profitable industries of the moment.
