MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 - here's how powerful the new Apple products are

In the new ones MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), chose to implement an integrated graphics chipset intel irisAnd according some tests made recently, it improves the graphic performance of the products by up to 50%. As you can see in the first image of this article, the entry-level and high-end versions were tested MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 13 inch, but also the model launched at the beginning of last year, which works based on the architecture Ivy Bridge, having an integrated graphics chip Intel HD 4000. The difference in performance is very big, but unfortunately this will not be felt that strongly in games or anywhere else, the chipset itself being weak compared to the dedicated ones of Nvidia or AMD.

Separately from the graphic chipset, the new Mac processors were also tested, but in their case the performance improvements are minor. More precisely, we are talking about a performance increase of only 8% in terms of processing power for the high-end model and only 3% in the case of the entry-level model, but this is perfectly normal considering that the platform Intel Haswell it was designed for autonomy and not for performance. Unfortunately, the same minor improvements in processor performance were also found in other PCs/laptops.

We move from the processor to the last important new component, the PCIe SSDs, which offer a 33% increase in performance compared to the storage units implemented in the old models. In practice, we are talking about reaching write/read speeds of over 700 MB/second, and this translates into extremely fast performance of any type of tasks, especially those related to video processing and more. Having said that, the new Macs have very good graphics performance, very fast storage media, in processors that do not bring great improvements.
